2009 Geneva Auto Show Preview: Brabus Mercedes G V12 S Biturbo
The Mercedes tuning specialist Brabus has announced that it will unveil a modified G-Wagen, called the G V12 S Biturbo, at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
Described as the 'world's most powerful off-roader' by the German tuner, the vehicle is equipped with an impressive 700 horsepower and 973 pound-feet of torque. The increased displacement from 5.5 to 6.3 liters allows for this extra power, although torque is electronically limited to 811 lb-ft. Larger turbos, a more efficient intercooling system and a stainless steel high-performance exhaust help the tuned G sprint to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds and top out at 163 mph.
The SUV's exterior treatment includes custom-made 20-to-22-inch Brabus Monoblock wheels in five different varieties, a completely blacked-out paint job and special LED daytime running lights below the 4x4's main headlamps. A high-performance brake system and modified suspension also come standard.
Brabus also installs a custom steering wheel, speedometer that displays up to 175 mph, stainless steel scuff plates with a blue illuminated Brabus logo and seats covered in soft mastik leather.
The Brabus Mercedes G V12 Biturbo will be priced equivalent to $477,000.
