Nobody Appears To Be Backing Out of 2009 Geneva Auto Show — Yet

GENEVA — In the wake of highly publicized withdrawals by Nissan and other automakers from Detroit's 2009 North American International Auto Show, the organizers of the 2009 Geneva Auto Show have issued a statement that all the major players still plan to come to their event.'The organizers of the show are delighted that all of the major automobile manufacturers will be exhibiting in spite of the alarming developments in the industry during the past few weeks,' said the organizers of the 2009 Geneva Auto Show in a gushy statement titled 'The 79th Geneva International Motor Show is a sellout!'However, the statement did not spell out which 'major automobile manufacturers' have committed to attending. Other Detroit show dropouts include Mitsubishi, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover and Suzuki.Inside Line says: We'll just have to wait and see if any of those major automakers change their mind about showing up in Geneva. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
