U.K.: Skoda Fabia BlueLine

MLADÀ BOLESLAV, Czech Republic — Skoda, Volkswagen's Czech affiliate, has released a special limited-edition version of its second-generation Fabia in the U.K. The Fabia BlueLine is an appearance package that includes a lowered suspension and a blue-and-white color scheme.The Skoda Fabia BlueLine, like the standard Fabia, is available with a pair of three-cylinder engine choices: a 1.2-liter gasoline that makes 70 horsepower and a 1.4-liter, 80-hp turbodiesel. Among the extra equipment on the BlueLine are 15-inch alloy wheels, special upholstery, an upgraded air-conditioning system, a CD/MP3 audio system, storage boxes under the front seats and a compartment for sunglasses. The car is also notable for its Pacific Blue paint job with contrasting white roof.Skoda says the extra equipment is a $1,300 value, but the BlueLine will be priced only at the equivalent of $275 extra above the Fabia's list price of $17,300-$19,800.
