Ford Sells 7.1% More Vehicles

FORD Motor China yesterday reported it sold 7.13 percent more vehicles in China in the first three quarters of this year from a year earlier.

The world's third largest car maker sold 240,879 units in China from January to September, versus 224,849 in the same period last year. Ford Motor's passenger car joint venture, Chang'an Ford Mazda Automobile, boosted sales by 6 percent to 159,833 units in the same period. Jiangling Motors Corporation, its commercial vehicle investment in China, sold 75,496 units, the company said.
