Volvo Offers Consumers Sneak Peek at 2010 XC60

IRVINE, California — Volvo is ramping up the buzz about its 2010 Volvo XC60 by setting out on a short U.S. road trip this fall that lets consumers get an up-close look at the car. The XC60 goes on sale March 1.Tour details, including registration information, can be found at Volvo's XC60 Tour Web site. Volvo says the first 25 families at each tour event will get a free emergency-preparedness kit. Safety is the primary focus of the tour, as the automaker will demonstrate the XC60's standard City Safety feature.City Safety, which is active up to 19 mph, reduces the effects of low-speed impacts common in city traffic, said Volvo. If the car is about to strike the vehicle in front and the driver does not react, the car automatically applies the brakes.
