2008 Paris Auto Show Preview: Ssangyong C200

SEOUL, South Korea — Ssangyong Motor, which is controlled by China's Shanghai Auto, will introduce the C200, a compact crossover concept that previews a future production model.The C200 is the first unitized vehicle from Ssangyong, which until now has been known more for its large, body-on-frame utility vehicles, including the Kyron and the Actyon.Ssangyong said the C200 will be fitted with a 175-horsepower 2.0-liter engine that meets Euro 5 emissions standards. It also features a six-speed gearbox and an intelligent four-wheel-drive system.What this means to you: There are no plans to market the production version of the C200 in North America. — Hoseok Park, Correspondent
