2010 Chevrolet Camaro First Drive
Our friends over at CARandDRIVER were lucky enough to get behind the wheel of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro (yes, we are very jealous) and were nice enough to allow us to share their experience and pictures with you.
Editor Michael Austin drove the 2010 Camaro powered by a 3.6 liter direct-injected V6 producing?300-hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. GM says you can do 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds while doing a quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds at 97 mph. Not to mention the V6 Camaro returns an impressive fuel-economy (estimated) of 26mpg.
After driving the car, Austin felt the V6 Camaro can easily out-drag the V6 versions of its rivals - the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger. However, they feel it will get smoked by the V8 Mustang Bullitt and the Dodge Challenger SRT8, but well leave that up to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS.
