People who rent vehicles want to rent hybrids.

To meet the trend, rental car companies are increasing their inventory of such vehicles.

Enterprise offers the most hybrids for rent. They have 5,000 vehicles and they offer four hybrid models nationwide. Hertz is expected to add about 2,400 hybrids this year and they are offering hybrids at their top 50 airport locations. Rental company Avis offers around 2,500 hybrids.

Even local or regional rent a car establishments are offering hybrids for rent.


The attraction to hybrids is due to their environmental impact and better fuel economy.
