Chinese truck-maker Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Ltd. (3808.HK) recently announced that it sold 48,630 trucks in the first five months of this year, up 51.50 percent year-on-year. In May, it boosted sales to 13,080 units.

In January-May 2010, Sinotruk produced 68,980 trucks, up 70.54 percent from a year earlier. In May, it produced 15,980 trucks.

In addition, the company's controller China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co Ltd., or Sinotruk Group, announced that its vehicle output reached 20,580 units and vehicle sales came to 20,935 units in May.

In January-May 2010, the Group's vehicle output grew 70.10 percent year-on-year to 96,191 units and its vehicle sales increased 70.33 percent year-on-year to 98,937 units.
