Teased: 2010 Kia Sorento

Kia has released a teaser shot of the redesigned Sorento, which will be officially launched in April at the 2009 Seoul Auto Show and is expected to go on sale in North America later this year as a 2010 model.

According to the Web site kia-world.net, the Sorento will shift from its current body-on-frame configuration to a unitized architecture, giving it the ride characteristics of a crossover vehicle rather than a conventional SUV.

The next-generation Sorento will come with a variety of gasoline and diesel engines as well as a new six-speed automatic transmission, the site said.
