VW global sales up

VOLKSWAGEN AG, Europe's largest car maker, said global sales rose to a record last year as demand for Audi and Skoda cars, and growth in emerging markets, countered a United States slump.

Global deliveries gained 0.6 percent to 6.23 million vehicles last year from 6.19 million in 2007, it said yesterday.
