Lamborghini Opens China Branch

Automobili Lamborghini has announced that it will establish a new branch, Automobili Lamborghini China. The Beijing office is slated to open in early 2009.

"China has the strongest dynamics of change to undoubtedly become the leading economy in the world," said Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. "The development of wealth and the developing savoir-vivre in China make it one of the pivotal markets for Lamborghini's future growth."

Lamborghini said it expects China sales to climb from 28 cars in 2007 to 80 cars in 2008. The company has dealers in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong and will open another two showrooms shortly in Chengdu and Qingdao.
