New Kenworth T370 hybrid truck to serve Quebec Winter Games 2009
Kenworth Truck Company delivered a new Kenworth T370 diesel-electric hybrid truck to the Quebec Winter Games 2009 during a recent ceremony in Blainville, Que.
The new Kenworth hybrid, which is one of the first medium-duty hybrid trucks to go into operation in Quebec, was produced at the PACCAR plant in nearby Ste. Therese, Que. Ste. Therese Mayor Sylvie Surprenant, vice-president of the Quebec Winter Games, received a large, symbolic truck key during the ceremony.
'Kenworth is proud to provide this special new Kenworth T370 hybrid truck to the Quebec Winter Games,' said Chakib Toubal Seghir, PACCAR Ste. Therese plant manager, who presented the key to Mayor Surprenant.
The Kenworth hybrid will be used to transport equipment and supplies to the various athletic venues in the three host cites of Blainville, Rosemere and Ste. Therese. The Quebec Winter Games 2009 will run from Feb. 27 through March 7.
