Hyundai plans for fuel efficiency lead

Hyundai Motor Company believes it will be able to meet the proposed U.S. Corporate Average Fuel Economy standard of 35 miles–per–gallon five years ahead of the federally mandated deadline. Hyundai’s roadmap to achieving the 35 miles per gallon target by 2015 was announced this week at the North American International Powertrain Conference in Chicago by Senior Executive Vice President Park Seong–Hyon before an audience of industry peers and federal regulators.
