US Charges 3 years' Special Tariff to Chinese Tires

News from Ministry of Commerce said on July 1, 2009, that American International Trade Committee decided to take special protection measures against Chinese tires in June 29, charged 3 years¡¯ special tariff to Chinese tires.
 
The American International Trade Committee made positive ruling in June 18, saying that Chinese low cost tires make harm to American market. The committee suggested President Obama charging 3 years¡¯ supplementary tariff to Chinese low cost tires, and said the import of Chinese tires is hurting American tires industry.
 
According to American 3 years¡¯ special tariff plan, it will charge tires imported from China with a tariff 55 percent, 45 percent, and 35 percent respectively from the first year to the third year. The American International Trade Committee pointed out in a statement that the tariff charged will protect American market from any harm.
