CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Sonic Automotive, Inc, a leader in automotive retailing announced that second quarter 2008 earnings from continuing operations were $20.1 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, compared to $28.8 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, in the prior year period.
