Automechanika Thailand to take place March 6-9
More than 170 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Automechanika Thailand, which is scheduled to take place March 6 - 9 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. This year's event will be officiated by Chakramon Pasukvanich, permanent secretary for the Ministry of Industry, Thailand. The presence of national government officials emphasizes the strong support the event has received from a number of organizations throughout Thailand, as it is being held in one of the fastest growing regions in the world for the automotive industry.
Companies from Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the U.S.A will have exhibits at the event, with a number of the international brands showcasing parts systems, accessories tuning, repair maintenance, IT management and service station car wash equipment products. In addition, a wide range of experts from the ASEAN automotive industry will be on hand to speak with participants and conduct two days of seminars that cover a variety of topics, such as:

¡¤ "The effects of FTA towards the Thai automotive industry," by Suthad Setboonsarng, partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Thailand;
¡¤ "The changing environment of Global automotive market and its effect on Thai automotive manufacturers," by Yuji Ueno, associate director, Global Automotive Marketing and Business Development Lead, PricewaterhouseCoopers;
¡¤ "Alternative energy: A new paradigm of power consumption that changes automotive industry," by Sarawut Kaewtathip, senior analyst, Ministry of Energy; and
¡¤ "ELV is essential for Thai automotive manufacturers," by Nucharin Lamalkul, researcher for the National Metal and Materials Technology Center.
In addition to gathering valuable information from industry experts at the Automechanika Academy, exhibitors and visitors can explore matchmaking opportunities at the Automechanika Matchmaking Forum with invited VIPs buyers from BMW Group Asia, Robert Bosch Co. Ltd., Hyundai Motor (Thailand) Co. Ltd. and Valeo Asia Purchasing Office. Companies also can get updated information on the latest technologies at one of the many product presentations that will be offered during the fair.
