Changan Auto to roll out V101 model in October

Shanghai, August 18 (Gasgoo.com) Changan Automobile (Group) will put its strategic sedan model V101 into market in October, Beijing News reported today.
 
The V101, first showcased at 2008 Beijing auto show in April, is positioned between Changan Benben and Zhixiang.
 
Sources from Changan Automobile confirmed that the V101 will be the most important model for the company's sedan-making strategy in the coming years. The development of V101 had been listed into the ¡°people¡¯s sedan project¡± inside the company early before it's code-named V101.
 
 
Besides the V101 sedan, Changan is also planning to develop the hatchback version of V101 (code-named V102 inside).
 
Powered by a 1.6L engine possibly, the V101 and V102 will be positioned beween Benben CV6 and Zhixiang CV8, priced between 50,000 yuan ($7267.44) and 70,000 yuan.
